They say that in order to create lasting memories, you must first pave the way. With a brick, you have a unique opportunity to create a lasting tribute to loved ones. You may be familiar with fund drives where individuals can “buy a brick” for a building, walkway, patio, etc. We will engrave the name of your choice or personal thought on your brick. What a unique way to honor a family member or friend!
Just think of the many benefits of this project. It adds an attractive look to our Memorial Garden, raises funds for future improvements, and leaves your engraved name or message as a lasting image to all who visit the Friends of the Elmira Civil War Prison Camp site on the grounds where the prison barracks once stood. Your generosity will receive well- deserved recognition as you invest in our development.
HERE IS HOW THE FUND DRIVE WORKS:
1. Determine the number of engravings and complete one (1) order form for each brick. Bricks are $75.00 each.
2. For your investment you will receive a beautiful engraved brick with your name or personal message sandblasted in a
4” X 8” granite paver that will be placed in the Memorial Garden.
3. The proceeds from your investment will go to further development and ongoing projects for the Friends of the Elmira Civil War Prison Camp. The Friends of the Elmira Civil War Prison Camp reserves the right to refuse to engrave any message or material it deems inappropriate, such as personal contact information, political statements, suggestive wording, and messages that might be considered offensive.
